in this moment

In this moment I will not worry about the state of the world or what tomorrow, next week, next month or next year might bring. I am here now, in this moment and all is well.

Those I love are well and safe.

I am well clothed and well fed.

I am blessed with shelter, food, hot running water and all that is necessary to not only sustain life but do so more than adequately.

And in this moment I know I am loved.

There is nothing necessary in this moment, nothing that demands my attention and nothing but this moment. I am not being complacent, but simply being.

Sometimes we need to stop and realize where we are in the now moment. If we do this we may realize that we lack little to nothing.

Sometimes we just need to relax and breathe and be here now in order to be sustain oneself.

That’s all.

Be here now.

Everything changes in that moment.

  1. I try and be present to and with the things around me also.

It is a bit hard these days with everyone running around saying the sky is falling.

  2. Words I will take to heart. For I spend more time in the future and the present is passing me by.

  3. Amen! I think a lot of good can be done if we just keep our focus small...

  4. ...just wanted to say Hello! I've been reading your blog for a few weeks now & it's rapidly becoming one of my favorites. I think I came over from either Kathie's (Two Frog Home) or Robbyn's (The Back Forty) blog (can't quite remember - sorry!)
    Love all your photos!

  5. What a great post. I think I sometimes get too caught up with everything around me that I need to stop and live in the moment. Thanks for the reminder.

  6. This is well said, Earth-Heart...been living in the now, that's how we have survived and thrived. And I know your lives are similar to ours. I cannot imagine living any other way, but when the moment, the now doesn't agree with you, it can be trying on the hearts.
We end our days and begin each one with pure thankfulness to be alive, healthy and an abundance of love.
More should come here and read your words!

  7. Carolyn - Yes, it's easy to get caught up in the fear aspect of these times. It's much better if we can let go of our fear, even temporarily, of what tomorrow may bring and deliberately choose to be present in the now.

Anne - Most of us do that. I think we often postpone joy, putting our hope in tomorrow and as a result let those moments of peace or happiness slip past.

    Kathie - Ditto!

Carla - Thanks for introducing yourself! I'm glad you found me and I appreciate your taking a minute to say hello.

Angelina - Thank you! You're very right, we all tend to do that I think. You're very welcome.

Gaelyn - uh huh! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment.

Barb - Thank you so much. Especially when the now is challenging we are best served to stop and like you said, be thankful and recognize our blessings. In those sometimes rare instances when being fully present, time stands still and we truly recognize and feel how abundantly blessed we are despite how things appear. It's good medicine.

  9. Words to live by! Just beautiful.
I had to visit, as I'm from Northeast Ohio...then moved to Central, Ohio a few years ago to build in the woods. Very nice blog you have here!
